In a new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, researchers from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the University at Buffalo School of Nursing examined how people spend their time online and the costs associated with it.

The researchers used a survey of nearly 200,000 adults who participated in a national study called “Online Behavior,” which surveyed their Internet use and how often they used the Internet.

They found that people who use the Internet at least weekly spend an average of 23 hours a week online.
